




BEAT IT...
...is a rhythmic puzzle game with a lo-fi 2D artstyle. Adapt your movement to the rhythm of the surrouding objects and find the right pattern to reach the goal!
The theme we decided on was "Stick together". We combined this theme with a gridbased, rhythmic movement and challenging enemy behaviours to create this simple but catchy game.
MY RESPONSIBILITIES
In the early stage of production, I spent alot of time designing and visualizing different game concepts and player mechanics with fake screenshots and simple 2D animations.
Once we decided on a concept, which took by far the most time during this project, I jumped right into the Game Engine and developed player and enemy gameplay mechanics and added visual and aural player feedback to the game.
